Your questions, answered

At 1000 Flowers Honey, we believe in open communication and sharing our passion for bees and their incredible products. We've compiled a list of questions our customers often ask to help you learn more about what makes our honey and beeswax so special.

Where are your hives located and do you move them?

Our beehives are located on our property Port Stephens, Australia. We also manage hives on a Comboyne avocado farm on the Mid North Coast. We do not move our hives from our property.

Do you heat your honey?

No, we do not heat our honey. All our honey is 100% Australian cold extracted. This gentle process ensures that all the natural enzymes, pollen, and beneficial properties of the honey are preserved, just as nature intended.

Do you offer local delivery?

Yes, we offer local delivery for customers within the Port Stephens, Maitland and New Ashley area. Please check our shipping policy during checkout or contact us at [[email]] for more details on eligibility and delivery zones.

What does '100% Australian' mean?

Being '100% Australian' means that all our honey and beeswax products are sourced, produced, and packaged right here in Australia. We are proud to support local ecosystems and provide pure, high-quality products from Australian bees.

What is cold extracted honey?

Cold extracted honey means that the honey is removed from the comb and bottled without any heating. This method preserves the honey's delicate flavours, aromas, and natural nutrients, unlike conventionally heated honey which can lose some of its beneficial properties.

How are your beeswax products made?

Our beeswax products are made from the pure, natural beeswax collected from our own hives. We carefully clean and filter the wax to create high-quality, chemical-free products, maintaining the integrity of this wonderful natural resource.

What makes your honey award-winning?

Our managed hives on the avocado farm have contributed to award-winning honey at the 2026 National Honey Competition. This recognition is a testament to our sustainable beekeeping practices, the quality of our bees, and the pristine environments they forage in.

Can I visit your beehives?

Currently, our beehive locations are not open to the public for visits. However, we love sharing our beekeeping journey through our blog and social media. Stay tuned for updates on potential future educational opportunities!

However, if you pick up supplies from our home address you can see some from our driveway.
